David Clark
A media artist interested in experimenting with narrative form through net.art such as his aisforapple.net, interactive films such as Meanwhile, as well as installations and videos. His award winning work has been screened and exhibited around the world including at Sundance, SIGGRAPH, Transmediale in Berlin, SXSW in Austin, and the American Museum of the Moving Image in New York. He lives and works in Halifax where he teaches at NSCAD University.
Jeff Howard
An emerging New Media artist based in Southern Ontario. While completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multimedia and Cultural Studies at McMaster University, Jeff quickly became interested in the relationship between New Media and narrative. As a resident of the CFC Media Lab, Jeff directed his artistic pursuits towards Interactive Cinema in the collaboration of the site www.meanwhile.ca. Recently, Jeff has been working with the Banff World Television Festival and nextMEDIA – The Future of Digital Content.
Chris Mendis
A Web dude that lives in Toronto and lives for creating coolness out of markup and code. It's been two years since his residency at the CFC New Media Lab, and he still cannot believe his luck. Chris hopes that he can continue working with his new media partners in crime for many years to come. But, just in case, he has a day job at The Globe and Mail.
Nick Rudnicki
A freelance geek living and striving in Halifax. He originally came to Nova Scotia to study at the much-touted NSCAD University, from whence he was issued a BFA. In the 4 years since he has nurtured a successful freelance creative geek business, and has established fruitful ties with the artistic community there.
Shelley Simmons
Has a mixed background of digital art and business. Having recently graduated from the Canadian Film Centre's Media Lab, she's coupled her creative background with communications, PR and marketing-type roles. She has worked overseas in online investor relations, co-produced the Canadian New Media Awards and has worked at Habbo Hotel, a social networking video game for teens. Her creative interests are currently exploring fresh ways of telling stories through interactive media and most recent creative works include Meanwhile, an interactive short film.
